A San Francisco City Hall Ceremony & Berkeley Reception | Michelle & Jordan

There are weddings that feel timeless the moment you step into them—and Michelle and Jordan’s day was exactly that. From their San Francisco City Hall ceremony to their cozy Berkeley reception, every detail was intentional, personal, and full of joy.

An Intimate City Hall Ceremony

Michelle and Jordan chose the stunning 4th floor balcony of San Francisco City Hall for their ceremony. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the space’s soaring architecture and soft natural light set the perfect scene.

Before the vows, we began with the couple’s portraits inside City Hall—the marble staircases, grand arches, and golden details making for effortlessly elegant backdrops.

One of the most unique touches of their day? The rings. Instead of handing them directly to the officiant, Michelle and Jordan hid them under a random chair. Whoever sat there was tasked with bringing the rings forward during the ceremony. As fate would have it, the rings ended up under the chair of the officiant’s wife (and best friend of Jordan!)—a surprise that brought laughter and warmth to the moment.

A Reception at the Tilden Brazilian Room

After saying “I do,” the celebration moved to the Brazilian Room at Tilden Park in Berkeley. This venue is a dream for couples who want both history and charm—the rich woodwork, glass windows, and surrounding greenery created an inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and relaxed.

During dinner, the sun streamed through the tall windows, catching the florals and décor in golden light. It was one of those fleeting but unforgettable moments that makes a wedding gallery truly sing.

Personal Touches That Told Their Story

What made Michelle and Jordan’s day so special were all the personal details woven throughout:

  • Travel-Inspired Table Names – Each table was named after a place they had traveled together, creating a reception that doubled as a map of their journey as a couple.
  • Disposable Cameras – Guests captured candid moments from their own perspectives, adding a playful and nostalgic element to the evening.
  • Slurpees from 7-Eleven – At Jordan’s request, guests enjoyed colorful Slurpees—a lighthearted and unexpected treat that everyone loved.

A Live Band – Bringing the reception to life, the band kept energy high and the dance floor full all night long.

A Day Full of Heart

From San Francisco’s grandeur to Berkeley’s cozy charm, Michelle and Jordan’s wedding day was an unforgettable blend of elegance, laughter, and meaning. Every choice they made reflected their love story—and it all came together in a way that felt both effortless and deeply personal.

For couples planning a wedding, Michelle and Jordan’s day is a reminder: the details don’t just decorate your day—they tell your story.
